History
Born and raised in sunny southern California John LeMay brings light for positive growth to his clients. Mr. LeMay is a certified master hypnotist and runs his own private practice in Ventura, California with offices in Tarzana, California. On his own he has practiced hypnotic techniques for many years and has used self-hypnosis to explore the personal connection between the mind, body and the universe. Gifted with deep empathy he uses the information and the skills he has gathered over the years to help his clients improve themselves in various aspects of their lives.
Specialities
In-tune with the growing virtual world, John LeMay also specializes in a brand of guided imagery that works with the online representation of self known as a “persona,” “character,” or “avatar.” He believes that people’s subconscious dreams and desires express themselves in how people represent themselves online.
He also believes that animals hold deep and profound meaning to all of us and has used the power of animal imagery to change his own life for the better.

Education
In 2005 John LeMay graduated with Degree of Bachelors of Arts with a Major in Psychology From the University of California, Santa Barbara. Higher education experts consider the University of California one of the top universities in the world, a “Public Ivy.” During his days at the beautiful beach-front campus John explored a variety of interests including: sociology, shintō, computer mediated virtual environments (virtual reality), performance art, dragons, LGBT studies, folklore, social linguistics, education and introductory computer programming. With a keen interest in the human mind John earned a degree in psychology. While John LeMay does not practice psychology, he uses the broad range and depth of knowledge he has acquired at UCSB to help his clients meet their motivational and self-improvement goals.
In 2011 John completed a year of vocational training for hypnosis therapy at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute of Tarzana, California. Founded by Dr. John Kappas in 1968, HMI is the first nationally accredited college for hypnotherapy in the United States. The staff and faculty of HMI all share a passion for hypnosis and the power of the subconscious mind which they impart to their students. At HMI John learned a variety of hypnotic modalities and techniques (Kapassinain, Ericksonian, guided imagery and NLP) as well as how to help others with their self-improvement goals.
Through the American Hypnosis Association, John continued his studies of the subconscious. John earned his certification as a guided imagery facilitator under the instruction of Pathfinder Cheryl O’Neil. Instructed by NLP Transworld Master NLP Practitioners John Mc Carthy and Joe Leeway he became a certified NLP practitioner. Studying under The Mind Coach Michele Guzy, John earned his certification as a past-life regression therapist. He is a member in good standing of the American hypnosis Association since 2010.
Master Hypnotist Certification
Since 2010 John has been a member in good standing of the Hypnotherapists Union Local 472, affiliated with the AFL-CIO and the OPEIU. The standards for AFL-CIO hypnotherapy certification are among the most stringent in the profession, assuring clients they are working with a professional who has achieved quality education and training. His certification Number is AL012025.
